The Scottish Society of Louisville is a not-for-profit corporation founded in Kentucky in 1993 with the purpose of preserving and promoting Scottish culture, history and hertiage in the community. The Society sponsors a numbers of annual events: the Kirkin of the Tartans in October, St. Andrew's Day in November, and Burns Night in January. It also participates in regional festivals and games such as the Kentucky Scottish Weekend at Carrolton, the Glasgow Highland Game and the Columbus(Indiana) Scottish Festival. Society meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of each month at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2223 Woodbourne Avenue, 7:30 p.m. All are invited.
