The Kentucky Shakespeare Festival

The Kentucky Shakespeare Festival is a non-profit, professional theatre company, founded in 1960 and incorporated in 1963. The Festival is the oldest of the six, free, professional, independently-operated Shakespeare festivals in the United States and is the oldest continuously operating theatre in Louisville. The Kentucky Shakespeare Festival has attained a national reputation for excellence. Nineteen Ninety-Nine marks its thirty-ninth season.
